A couple years ago I started the tradition of tide pooling with the 7th grade when we do our unit on invertebrates. We have such an amazing resource right in our backyard! Here are some pictures from our trip to Fort Ross. The students are participating in the Marine Ecology Program offered by the Fort Ross Conservancy.

I am teaching a coding class this year as an elective to better prepare students for STEM opportunities at the high school and beyond. We hope to be able to program these arduinos by the end of the year!
