Point Arena High School

PAHS LibraryPoint Arena High School was built in 1969.   Voters passed a bond in 2000 resulting in the addition of four new modular buildings including a computer room, four classrooms, two bathrooms, and a science lab.

PAHS Auditorium

Our  auditorium has a stage and retractable auditorium seating, allowing the space to also be used for dances and indoor events like science and art fairs.

PAHS Administration OfficeOur  administration building includes offices for the principal, counselor, high school office staff, the auditorium lobby, restrooms, a conference room and the band classroom. The cafeteria, gymnasium/locker rooms, library, and art room have been modernized and new roofs installed in the gym, maintenance building, and bus barn. There have also been many upgrades on site such as paved walkways and landscaping. Upgrades to the athletic fields include new bleachers, an announcer’s booth and fencing at the baseball dugout.

The school is well maintained and cleaned at least once per day. Our school provides a safe, clean and functional environment for learning through proper facilities maintenance and campus supervision. Our four maintenance workers are on campus from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. (various shifts).

The District participates in the State School Deferred Maintenance Program, which provides state matching funds on a dollar-for-dollar basis, to assist school districts with expenditures for major repair or replacement of existing school building components. Typically, this includes roofing, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, electrical systems, interior or exterior painting, and floor systems.
