Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage instructional program and supervise operations and personnel at campus level
  • Provide leadership to ensure high standards of instructional service
  • Oversee compliance with district policies, success of instructional programs, and operation of all campus activities
  • Monitor instructional processes to ensure that program activities are related to outcomes and use findings to take corrective actions where necessary
  • Provide instructional resources and materials needed to accomplish instructional goals
  • Establish clear expectations for staff performance with regard to instructional strategies, classroom management, and communication with the public
  • Foster collegiality and team building among staff members
  • Encourage their active involvement in decision-making process
  • Solicit regular input from campus-level committee about planning, operation, supervision, and evaluation of campus education program
  • Include students and community representatives when appropriate
  • Build a common vision for school improvement with staff
  • Direct planning activities and implement programs to ensure attainment of school s mission
  • Establish campus performance objectives for Academic Excellence Indicators using the campus planning process and involving site-based decision-making committee
  • Demonstrate campus progress using results to promote school improvement
  • Provide opportunities for interactive communication with superintendent, staff, students, parents, and community
  • Act as campus behavioral coordinator in accordance with state laws and regulations
  • Work with faculty and students to develop a student discipline management system that results in positive student behavior and enhances the school climate
  • Ensure that school rules are uniformly applied, and that student discipline is appropriate and equitable in accordance with Student Code of Conduct and student handbook
  • Conduct conferences about student and school issues with parents, students, and teachers
  • Management of Fiscal, Administrative, and Facilities Functions
  • Comply with district policies, state and federal laws, and regulations affecting schools
  • Develop and administer campus budgets based on documented program needs and estimated enrollment ensuring that operations are cost effective, and funds are managed wisely
  • Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required
  • Manage use of school facilities
  • Observe employee performance, record observations, and conduct evaluation conferences with staff
  • Coach staff and help them identify and develop appropriate professional growth opportunities as well as accomplish improvement goals
  • Work with campus-level planning and decision-making committees to plan professional development activities
  • Articulate the schools mission to the community and solicit its support in realizing the mission
  • Demonstrate awareness of school and community needs and initiate activities to meet those needs using appropriate and effective techniques to encourage community and parent involvement
  • Supervise, evaluate, and recommend the hiring and firing of staff assigned to campus including teachers, counselor(s), librarian(s), instructional aides, clerical support staff


Compensation:

$82,140 – $106,605 annually, based on qualifications. $1,000 stipend for Masters, or $2,000 for Doctorate.Additional $500 for an additional Masters or Doctoral degree ($1500 or $2500). Contract year is 210 days.Start: July 1, 2022.District-paid cell phone; mileage reimbursement; health, dental and vision coverage for the employee and family.

Certificated Positions

Middle School Math Teacher at Arena Union Elementary
WORK HOURS:  1.0 FTE, M-F, Start Date: ASAP
SALARY:  $45,167 – $77,540
($2,000 Stipend for a Doctorate,  $1,000 for a Masters or  $500 for add. Degrees)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE  Possess a valid California Single Subject Math Credential authorizing instruction in the program area assigned. Out of State Teachers must apply for a California Credential. Must be a collaborative team player who enjoys working with middle school students.  Must be willing to work in a small school environment.

Advanced Math & Science Teacher at Point Arena High School
WORK HOURS: 1.0 FTE, M-F, Start Date:  8-12-2022
SALARY:  $45,167 – $77,540 ($2,000 Stipend for a Doctorate,  $1,000 for a Masters or  $500 for add. Degrees)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  Preliminary CA single-subject credential in Science or Math, OR a Masters in Science or Math, OR the ability to earn a preliminary single-subject credential in Science or Math or a Masters in Science or Math while teaching is required.

SPED Teacher at Point Arena High School
WORK HOURS:  1.0 FTE, M-F, Start Date: 8-12-2022
SALARY:   $45,167 – $77,540 ($2,000 Stipend for a Doctorate,  $1,000 for a Masters or  $500 for add. Degrees)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Special Education Experience 2 years preferred with High School Students,  Holds CA Special Education Teaching Credential (mild/moderate education specialist) required,  Preferred combination of any or all of the following: Multiple Subject, Masters in SPED, Moderate/Severe Credential, or Single Subject Credential., Master’s Degree preferred

 


Classified Positions

SPED Para I at Point Arena High School
WORK HOURS:  5.5 hours a day, M-F, Start Date: ASAP
SALARY:  $15.41 – $15.87
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to:  graduation from high school and two years’ experience in working with school-age children in an organized setting.

PAHS SPED Para III
WORK HOURS:  7.0 hours a day, M-F, Start Date: ASAP
SALARY: $15.54 – $17.49
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  Any combination equivalent to:  graduation from high school and some experience in working with children in an organized setting.
