School Board
The consolidated statewide general election for the Point Arena Schools District Governing Board Member positions will take place on November 5, 2025 for the purpose of electing three (3) long-term, at large seats, to expire December 08, 2028, and two (2) at large seats, to expire December 11, 2026.
The filing period opens July 15, 2024 and closes at 5:00 p.m. on August 09, 2024. Candidates must file with their county clerk of residence. Mendocino County residents are required to complete their declaration of candidacy filing in person at the Mendocino County Registrar of Voters Ukiah Office: 501 Low Gap Road, Ukiah, CA 95482, (707) 234-6819. A candidate information packet is posted on their webpage: mendocinocounty.gov/elections
Sonoma County residents are required to complete their declaration of candidacy filing in person at the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters Santa Rosa Office: 435 Fiscal Dr., Santa Rosa, CA 95403. Information can be found on the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters webpage: Sonomacounty.ca.gov/vote and by calling (707) 565-6800.
Eligible candidates are those who are all of the following:
a. At least 18 years of age
b. A registered voter in Mendocino or Sonoma Counties
c. Not an employee of the school district.
