Federal Impact Aid Survey
Do you know why the Impact Aid Survey funding is important for your child’s school?
The Federal Impact Aid funding is designed to assist local school districts who have lost revenue due to Federal properties exemption from local property taxes. Financial assistance is determined by calculating the concentration of students who reside on military bases, low-rent housing properties, Indian lands, and other Federal properties, have parents in the uniformed services, or have parents employed on eligible Federal properties.
Why is my survey important?
The amount of funds the school receives is based on this. School districts use Impact Aid for a wide variety of expenses; including staffing; purchasing textbooks & curriculum programs; student transportation, school utilities, technology materials, and other equipment; after-school programs and tutoring; special enrichment programs, and other services at schools statewide. All students and all schools benefit from Impact Aid.
