Fish Fest is on Sunday, August 31st, from 12-6pm.
I am the Captain for the children’s area, so I’ve planned fun activities,
but would need volunteers to help run the activities. I’m hoping some
students might enjoy the day while picking up some service hours.
Ideally, I would love to have people who could work the whole event,
But it could also offer 3-hour shifts if I have enough volunteers.
The areas are as follows:
Rock Painting.. just need a person or two to help kids put lids back on
markers and make sure rocks are replenished as kids take their completed
rocks. I provide the markers and rocks
Car racing ramp.. One or two volunteers to help kids set up Matchbox
cars to race down a ramp. Ramp and cars are provided..
Sand art area- fundraiser for South Coast Day Care- One volunteer to
help facilitate kids making sand art bottles.
Day care hangout area… one or two volunteers to help kids with
beading and coloring at tables. Free activity. Supplies are provided
The bounce house guy is also seeking 2 volunteers to run the bounce
houses. If we have enough volunteers, the bounce houses can still happen.
Also, Fish Fest is seeking volunteers for many other jobs. It truly
takes a village for this event to be successful. All proceeds from the
event go to Arena Cove Stewards for pier projects and continued
community events.
