Community College Dual Enrollment

Mendocino College Special Admission for High School Students.  College admits a limited number of high school students concurrently enrolled in the 9th-12th grades who may enroll in up to 11 units per semester. Special admit (dual enrollment) students are exempted from paying the enrollment fee (other fees still apply) and credits earned through these enrollments may be used to fulfill high school in addition to college certificate, transfer, or graduation requirements.

To be admitted, you must complete an Application for Admission as well as a Special Admission Application. The Special Admission Application must be approved by your school principal/counselor and parent/guardian.

Santa Rosa Junior College Admission for High School Student

Why is dual enrollment such a great value? Dual enrollment is designed to provide current high school students, who are enrolled in the 9th grade or above, the opportunity to get an early start on their college experience. The registration fees are waived for high school students. The cost of textbooks, other course fees such as materials fees, parking fees, and the Student Health Services fee are not waived. Students who complete just one 3-unit class each fall and spring semester (and one 3-unit class during the summer session) starting in their Sophomore year in high school, could have a potential completion of 24.0 units representing a savings of $1,104!

College courses must be approved by a high school counselor or administration. Grade/credit example: students with grade C or higher taking a course for 3.0 college credits earn 10.00 high school credits and 3.0 college credits. College credits earned are subjected to courses taken and grades earned. Students planning to attend college after graduation should consider UC/CSU transferable courses.

See PAHS Counselor sign up and approve of dual enrollment courses.
