VAN’S SHOE GIVEAWAY to 9-12th Graders!
On Wednesday, May 29th, Good Buy Clothes, our local Community Outreach, has been given the opportunity to provide a free pair of VAN’S Shoes to local students, grades 7-12, at Point Arena High School, Arena Elementary, Pacific Charter School, Horicon, Kashia, and Manchester Elementary School.
Here are the details:
- Shoes will be set up by size in the PAHS auditorium and school staff and volunteers will assist students to select a FREE pair of VAN’S SHOES.
- There are a wide variety of shoe styles, colors and designs, but unfortunately some sizes are limited*.
PARENTS, please talk with your child about the size they should look for on the day of the giveaway. This will make it much easier for them and for staff. - Student will NOT have the opportunity to try on shoes, so it’s important that your child know what size to look for when entering the auditorium.
- We have found that VAN’S shoes often run a little smaller or larger than other manufacturers.
- If your child is unable to find a pair of shoes in their size, we suggest they select a pair a size or half-size larger that they can grow into.*
- When leaving the auditorium, students will be hand-stamped to indicate they did receive a pair of shoes.
- Students not at school on the day of the giveaway will receive a voucher with which they can make arrangements to redeem at the Good Buy Clothes store.

WE CAN’T GUARANTEE, BUT ARE HOPEFUL THAT EVERY STUDENT WILL FIND A PAIR OF SHOES THEY LIKE.
SHOE SALE OPPORTUNITY
At the end of the school day, and following the Student Shoe Giveaway, the remaining shoes will be available from 1:30 p.m. until approximately 3:00 p.m. to students, staff parents and the community to purchase Van’s Shoes for $10.00 per pair (cash or check only). Anyone wanting to purchase shoes should arrive and line up at the PAHS auditorium entrance at 1:30 p.m.
To make the shoes available to our community, shoes will be limited to two pair per person at any one time. Once you have left the auditorium, you can go to the end of the line at the entrance and reenter to purchase additional shoes. Please bring a bag with you to carry the shoes.
Good Buy Clothes (GBC) is a Community Outreach serving the North coast from Stewarts Point to Elk. Since its inception in 1994, GBC has provided over $560,000 to local charitable organizations, schools, programs and projects, including local food banks, RCMS, Action Network, Coastal Seniors, PAHS Triathlon Team, RECF, Horicon STEAM Program, Charter School CELP Program, Coast Community Library, Manchester Poetry Program, Mendonoma Health Alliance, and many, many more worthy organizations that assist the North Coast Community. SORTEO DE ZAPATOS DE VAN’S DE ESTUDIANTES
El miércoles 29 de mayo, Good Buy Clothes, nuestro programa de alcance comunitario local, ha tenido la oportunidad de proporcionar un par de zapatos Van’s Shoes gratis a los estudiantes locales, grados 7-12, en Point Arena High School, Arena Elementary, Pacific Charter School, Horicon, Kashia y Manchester Elementary.

Los estudiantes NO tendrán la oportunidad de probarse los zapatos, por lo que es importante que su hijo sepa qué talla buscar al ingresar al auditorio.
Hemos descubierto que los zapatos de Vans a menudo son un poco más pequeños o más grandes que los de otros fabricantes.
Si su hijo no puede encontrar un par de zapatos de su talla, le sugerimos que seleccione un par de una talla o media talla más grande.
Al salir del auditorio, los estudiantes serán sellados en la mano para indicar que recibieron un par de zapatos.
Los estudiantes que no estén en la escuela el día del sorteo recibirán un cupon con el que podrán hacer arreglos para redimir en la tienda de Good Buy Clothes.

OPORTUNIDAD DE VENTA DE ZAPATOS
Al final del día escolar, y después de la Entrega de Zapatos para Estudiantes, los zapatos restantes estarán disponibles desde la 1:30 p.m. hasta aproximadamente las 3:00 p.m. para que los estudiantes, el personal, los padres y la comunidad compren Van’s Shoes por $10 por par (solo efectivo o cheque). Cualquier persona que desee comprar zapatos debe llegar y hacer fila en la entrada del auditorio de PAHS a la 1:30p.m. Para que los zapatos estén disponibles para nuestra comunidad, los zapatos se limitarán a dos pares por persona a la vez. Una vez que haya salido del auditorio, puede ir al final de la fila en la entrada y volver a ingresar para comprar zapatos adicionales. Por favor, traiga una bolsa para llevar los zapatos.
