STUDENT VOLUNTEER HOURS ~ STORY TELLING IN THE PARK
When: On Saturday, July 13, 2024, Noon to 2pm
Where: At the Children’s Environmental Play Park located in The Sea Ranch
What: Providing drinks, snacks, storytelling, free books, and an activity. All children and families are welcome and encouraged to bring a friend! A professional photographer will be taking photos and a writer in the local media will cover the event.
Focus: Sports and reading. The two books are Pickleball Paul and Steph Curry: Never Give Up, including discussions about other sports too. These books highlight the benefits of participating in sports regardless of gender, size or experience. They also emphasize the positive impacts of willing to try something new, practicing, working hard for yourself and/or your team members, learning about good sportsmanship, and learning how to “win and lose.”

We have volunteers to set-up and breakdown for the event and to assist the high school students with prep, reading, and running an activity if desired.
